School has started back in both Cobb and Marietta. The little darlings started walking though our yard last Thursday and Cobb began today. There are things to remember about the back-to-school season that will make your life easier.
• Don't attempt to buy Kleenex at the grocery store. Every teacher has put a box on the school supply list for the classroom and the shelf looks like a flu epidemic hit.
• Don't go to Staples looking for office supplies. They are overrun with kids and moms buying protractors and folders (items the store hasn't sold any of in the past 12 months).
• Don't ask the deli to slice some lunch meat for you. The lines are long, but if you hurry there may be some peanut butter left.
• Don't expect traffic to be free flowing in front of any school. How come, when third graders don't drive, there's still a traffic jam at the elementary school?
School season is a time when everyone enjoys the holidays – there's one in three weeks!
